Complete grey hydraulic shear with twin cylinders and open cutting jaw in a workshop

Hydraulic Shear

Cut and process steel with an excavator-mounted shear.

Turn steel into
manageable pieces.

BETENSH hydraulic shears are excavator attachments for steel dismantling and scrap-metal processing. They bring a cutting jaw to the material, for work where handling a complete steel member or bulky scrap piece is impractical.

Start with the steel you need to process: its shape, section and condition. A recycling yard cutting loose scrap and a contractor dismantling a structure need different working plans, even with similar excavators.

Scrap handling: consider how cut pieces will be held, moved and loaded.

The material sets
the cutting requirement.

Sections, plate and mixed scrap present different loads and jaw access. Describe the material and the pieces you want to produce, so the enquiry addresses the actual job.

For structural dismantling, plan the cutting sequence and control of the released piece. A shear does not replace a site-specific lifting or demolition plan.

Look at the jaw.
Plan access and maintenance.

The jaw opening, blade position and mounting arrangement matter to both cutting access and parts identification. Whole-unit photographs and close views help a dealer or repair shop describe the configuration.

Carrier tonnage is an initial selection guide. Final selection also considers the excavator model, mounting arrangement and machine stability. Jaw opening and blade length do not by themselves specify a guaranteed steel-cutting capacity.

Questions Before You Order

A material photo, material type and section dimensions, plus the excavator model and intended work. These describe the cutting task more usefully than machine tonnage alone.
